Seoul : Part 1 (Gyeongbokgung Palace, Bukchon Hanok Village, Dongdaemun Market, Cafe Nescafe Itaewon)

For this year trip, my family finally decided on Seoul and my papa suggested us to stay longer to ensure we got to explore Seoul properly... So our stay lasted for 7 nights and 8 days... Our flight was on 15/03/2017 and we reached Seoul late at night (after a few transit)...

Keep up with my update : Part 1, PArt 2, Part 3, PArt 4, Part 5, Part 6

Hotel

We decided to stay at Itaewon because from what we read, it is easy to find halal food there... It was very easy, indeed!
We stayed at Hamilton Hotel throughout our vacay, i strongly recommend this hotel as it is very convenient, the lift & escalator(have to cross the road) to Itaewon subway is just right in front of the hotel... I mean, really in front...

16/03/2017 (Day 2)

After taking a good rest the previous night, we are so ready to explore Seoul...
The itinerary was all set (by my husband), so, there are only excitement flow thru our blood on that day :p
My husband was more excited about the weather =.=... The weather everyday ranging from 6°C-7°C(morning) and will increase in the afternoon and reduce back to at most 2°C at night...

Itaewon

I can say that Itaewon is one of the beautiful town in Seoul... I love the buildings and the features of the place! We got everything we need here! Halal foods are everywhere (will write about the restaurants we been to in another post), skincare shops are everywhere too (Lush is not far from our hotel as well)! Subway, KFC etc. are all here!
(tapi for muslim jangan nak makan subway pulak kat sini, naik subway boleh, makan jangan... ;p)

Rifqi is all set and ready to go!!! Nak ikut rifqi jalan2 tak? ;p

Taking photo right after we stepped out from the hotel entrance, too excited on the first day! Behind is the elevator i was talking about...

So, this is Itaewon... And sepasang pasangan Korea & cucunya...

He just loves the weather!!!

Gyeongbokgung Palace

How we get there:
1. Take the train to Cheonggu Station (Line 6)
2. From Cheonggu Station to Gwangwhamun Station (Line 5). When you get out by elevator, the palace is right in front of u... Walk for a few minutes and u'll reach the gate of the palace.

Admission:
The ticket is only 3000won/adult.

Entering the gate of the palace (malas asyik nak type Gyeongbokgung, pening!), phew a lot of ladies wearing hanbok(a korean traditional outfit)... I taknak pakai hanbok, tak nak nampak gemok pakai hanbok... Rhymes...
So, there are a lot of ladies wandering here and there with their hanbok...

We proudly walk into the pintu gerbang, we thought that we already reached the palace, so, beria2 tangkap gambar... Jalan depan sikit, ada pintu gerbang lagi, bergambar lagi... And basically we went to the palace just to take pictures!

My lil brother walk further while my other family members (including me) just stayed around the crowd (yang tak jauh dari pintu gerbang) 'cause it so difficult to walk with a stroller, a baby, my parents were tired too...

So, my brother got to see a better view and gotta have better photo... =.=

Gyeongbokgung (i just type that again!)

Me, my son & pintu gerbang 1...

My ♥ , my everything

The view i was talking about, only my brother reached here!...

My lil brother & gadis2 hanbok...

Family portrait one more tymeee ;)

Moody, baru wakey2!

Bukchon Hanok Village

How we get there:
As long as i remember, we just walked there from Gyeongbokgung...

Admission fees:
No fees needed.
I love this place... Such a lovely place...
It is a residential area which located uphill (u'll need to climb a bit)
The neighborhood has been well-preserved traditional Korean homes(called Hanok) and has a cultural center for visitors who want to know more about the place.

Entering this place, we have to lowered our voices to ensure that we're not disturbing the residents there, since there are people who lives there...

Rifqi & his Tok Ma

Take the opportunity to tried out the Banana Milk for the first time. 1500won/each.

Our lil family on the mission to climb up the hill

Surrounded by Korean traditional houses...

Dongdaemun Market

We stopped at Dongdaemun Station, and unfortunately, we think it's the wrong station...
It take us to a wholesale place selling books, winter items, and nothing within our interests.
No fabrics or souvenirs for us...

So we decided to just walk around and go back to our hotel...

Such a clean stream they have...

Behind is Hyundai City Outlet

Dinner at Dubai Restaurant

For dinner, of course we head back to Itaewon as there're several choices for us to choose from!
Arabic foods for day one...

Price: The prices ranging from 14000won and above... It was actually quite pricey as compared to halal Korean restaurant... Stay tuned with my update for more restaurants review!!!

Foodwise: The foods were okay... but sometimes the foods served were different from what we expect :p maybe cultural different... Yeah it different from Malaysia's arabic food ok!

Dubai restaurant is upstairs...

Cafe Nescafe, Itaewon

Since the cafe is right in front of our hotel, can even see it from our window, so my husband biasalah, so eager to try the coffee there... After dinner, i accompany him to accomplish his mission...!

And me myself had to bought this from Tony Moly, cause my M.A.C. compact powder were drowned... Long story...
